mún

Definition:

When? whenever, sometime, anytime.


Function:

Used to ask questions, connect to another sentence with ana, or to mean never or sometimes with the fixed combinations.


Examples:

  1. múnam wínatat̓aša ‘when are you wanting to go?’;
  2. ana mún iwáta wánpi ku iwánpta páx̣at anwíčt áw k̓ʷáyk̓a áw uynápt anwíčt ana máal páwaničayisa piiní wánpašin ‘whenever he will be sung he will sing five years or seven years – however long he the song names for him’;
  3. ataš mún wínata ‘whenever we go’;
  4. ana mún ‘whenever…’;
  5. čáw mún ‘never’;
  6. pamún ‘sometimes’.
