tamskáwi

Origin:

tám- (placing, putting, throwing) + skáwi(to pick up, gather discards)


Definition:

Pick up things, gather up other’s discards.


Examples:

  1. itamskáwiša ‘she’s picking up others’ discards’;
    amaš tamskáwiyayi ‘let me gather yours up’;
  2. iwšána kuš átamskawiša ‘it lay there and I picked it up’;
  3. itámscawiša pšwáan ‘he is picking up stones’;
  4. itamskáwiša x̣ax̣áykʷ ‘he is picking up his money’.
