sɨ́t̓xʷs

Buttonroot, wild hyacinth, Triteleia hyacinthina (syn., Brodiaea hyacinthina). They grow deep in the ground. ƛ̓áksin pawá sɨknisɨ́kni ku sɨ́t̓xʷs ‘yellow bells and wild hyacinth are two sisters’; at̓úk iwá x̣nít sɨ́t̓xʷsna ‘it is difficult to dig the buttonroot’.
