Cow parsnip, Heracleum lanatum. Type of jointed cane. It grows a shiny yellow “mule-eared sunflower”; it grows in bottom lands. They used to make whistles from its stems. They used to use it for támc̓it ‘sweetener’. luˀlúˀ k̓ʷáy áwšayčɨnx̣a apɨ́łapł iišmí ‘those leaves of the cow parsnip get shiny’; mayktúnɨx̣tya k̓ʷáy iwá tkʷátat íiš ‘more different yet is that cow parsnip food’.
